- Namche Bazaar to Tengboche @ 3870m, Day4
(We set out for Tengboche in a crisper morning on Day4, giving us lovely views of the mountains surrounding Namche. The trek hugs the mountainside most of the way, but Mt Everest remained elusive because of the heavy cloud cover all along the way. The many white stupas gave us some respite, while holy mountain Thamserku @ 6618m peaked through the clouds at several spots. We reached Tengboche, with daylight almost disappearing - another 8hr trek for us, while it's 6hrs for most others)
